Ukrainian forces struck the state-owned Prioritet fuel storage facility in the Udmurt Republic on July 27, according to the General Staff. The facility, located over 1,300 kilometers from the Ukrainian border, is a major depot for Russia's State Material Reserve. Additionally, Ukrainian drones targeted a steel fabrication plant in Moscow Oblast and infrastructure in occupied Crimea on July 28, while Russian officials claimed to have downed 356 drones overnight.

Drone Strikes Across Russia and Crimea

In Moscow Oblast, a drone attack hit a steel fabrication plant in Chekhov, causing a fire at a residential building and a nearby home in Vaulovo. A logistics warehouse in Koledino was also set ablaze. In occupied Crimea, an electric substation in Feodosia was struck, resulting in power outages for much of the city. The General Staff also reported strikes on a logistics depot and a fuel facility near the village of Ichki in Crimea.

Investigation into Military Abuse

Ukraine's State Bureau of Investigation has charged two medical unit members of the 425th Separate Assault Regiment with torturing two fellow soldiers in May 2026. The suspects allegedly beat and detained the soldiers in Kirovohrad Oblast as punishment for disciplinary violations. Both victims were hospitalized with traumatic brain injuries. The charges follow reports of widespread abuse and noncombat deaths within the regiment.
