Thom Yorke, Flea Cover Marvin Gaye

Thom Yorke joined Flea on stage in London for a performance of their recent song 'Traffic Lights' and a cover of Marvin Gaye's 'Got to Give It Up'. Flea is currently on the European leg of his solo tour in support of his album 'Honora'. The concert took place at London's Koko, Flea's only solo gig in the U.K.

Collaboration and Tour

Flea and Yorke have collaborated live numerous times in the past and have performed together as Atoms of Peace. Yorke recently contributed to 'Traffic Lights', which appears on 'Honora'. The track was co-written with Yorke and Josh Johnson. Flea shared that he sent the track to Yorke, thinking it would be a rhythm and sensibility that he would relate to.

Honora Album

'Honora' features six original songs, plus interpretations of music by various artists, including George Clinton and Eddie Hazel, Jimmy Webb, Frank Ocean and Shea Taylor, and Ann Ronell. The album came about in tribute to Flea's love of jazz and his youthful love of playing the trumpet. Flea decided to play trumpet every day and eventually made a record, focusing on the learning process.
