State of Emergency in Čačak

A state of emergency has been declared in Čačak due to a failure on the main pipeline of the 'Rzav' water system, which supplies water to Čačak and four other cities. The failure occurred at around 6 am in the village of Gorobilje near Požega.

Water Supply Disruption

The water supply disruption has affected the regular water supply to users who rely on the 'Rzav' system. Priority users such as the General Hospital, bakeries, kindergartens, and dairy farms are still being supplied with water, while other users are experiencing disruptions.

Temporary Measures

The population has been advised not to use water from the city's water supply for drinking purposes over the next ten days, until the state of emergency is lifted and the Institute of Public Health releases water sample analysis results. During this period, water from the city's water supply can only be used as technical water.
