England captain Harry Kane believes the Three Lions squad is better than ever and is ready to end his 60-year wait for another World Cup triumph. "I think our squad is better than ever. When you look at the starting eleven and the players on the bench, we are one of the favorites to win the tournament. Over the last few camps under Thomas we have been building the team together. I think we have set the standard and now we expect to continue that at the World Cup next month," Harry Kane told the Press Association at the launch of a gold coin initiative for fans on his buttons. "There's always something special when you play at the World Cup. It's a special feeling, especially when you win. We know how much success at the World Cup would mean, not only to us, but to the fans and to the country. It motivates us on the pitch and I hope we can bring the trophy home to the fans," added the Englishman. Harry Kane, who will be playing in his third World Finals, is aiming to break Gary Lineker's record of 10 goals at the most prestigious forum. He needs three goals to overtake the legendary Barcelona and Tottenham striker. "Gary has been an amazing striker for England and to score 10 goals at World Cups is impressive. Personal goals are of course a motivation for me.
